Acidity problems are more common during the summer season. While some people’s diet takes a toll during the summers, most of the people suffer from dehydration or diarrhea which makes it difficult to deal with acidity problems. In summer, we are already aware of the impact of oily and spicy food that leads to indigestion and an upset stomach. The simple mantra to be followed in summer is “Eat Less”. During summers, the digestive system becomes sensitive, it is best advised to reduce your calorie intake. Drink More Water

The only good thing about the summer season is that your body says a big “NO” too spicy and junk food due to prevailing weather conditions. One should drink more water throughout the day, to keep the body hydrated. As with the scorching temperatures, an average person should drink four – five liters of water on a regular basis.

“Keep your stomach happy and you will be happy”. Read it? Now just follow this simple rule to prevent any acidity problems. Tangy foods will result in stomach inflammation which is caused due to a weak spleen.(Spleen is an abdominal organ involved in the removal and production of red blood cells, forming the part of the immune system). Foods such as beans, carrots and lotus roots should be eaten more to eliminate pathogens from the body, to strengthen the spleen and stomach.

These foods are your life saviors. Include tomatoes, apples, pears, watermelon, cucumber, sweet potatoes, white gourd in your diet will keep your body healthy and will strengthen the immune system as well.

Use herbs

Since the ancient times, India has known it for herbs.  Coriander, fenugreek, fennel seeds, cardamom, cilantro, cumin, ginger, and parsley are the some of the known herbs to avoid those heartburns and burps.
